Ministry: No problems with servicing of Russian aircraft in Turkey

MOSCOW, Mar 17 (PRIME) -- There are no problems with ground servicing of Russian aircraft in the airports of Turkey, a spokesperson for the Transport Ministry told PRIME on Friday.

On Thursday, Kommersant business daily reported quoting Turkish newswire AirportHaber that the Turkish authorities decided to ban fueling and technical maintenance of U.S. aircraft from Russia and Belarus, meaning that servicing and fueling of private, cargo, commercial, and charter planes with the share of U.S. component exceeding 25% was prohibited.

“The flights of Russian airlines to the Republic of Turkey are going on as usual. The Transport Ministry is conducting consultations with the Turkish side regarding specific issues of provision of fuel for Russian aircraft. There are no problems with ground servicing for planes of Russian airlines in the airports of Turkey,” the spokesperson said.
